    4. Master James of Ballindoran, or Easter Ballindoran (Baldoran), who must have obtained a charter of these lands, or a portion of them, as his name with one or other of the above designations occurs frequently, either as a bailie or as a witness, in deeds in the Kilsyth charter chest, as well as in the Protocol Books of the Town Clerks of Glasgow, between the years 1550 and 1571. He and his brother George were witnesses to the marriage contract, dated 18 March 1552-3, of Helen Livingston, sister-german to William, sixth Lord Livingston, and on 7 March 1563-4 he was appointed by Archibald, Earl of Argyll, Justice-General of Scotland, to be one of his Justice Deputes. He was included in the remission granted to the sixth Lord Livingston and some of his vassals for absence from Pinkiecleuch, dated 12 March 1553-4, and also in the remission granted to the same lord by the Regent Morton on 23 March 1573-4. He probably was decreased soon after the latter date, and he apparently left no issue.
