    6. George in Falkirk, who is mentioned in a discharge granted by Master James Livingston to his cousin John Livingston, dated 21 May 1551, as 'my brother George.' In this document he promises to keep John scatheless for the rents and duties due to him from the barony of Kilsyth, especially 'at the hands of my brother George for his clerkmail silver.' As mentioned above, George was deceased before 10 September 1585. His nephew James, portioner of Falkirk, is referred to as his heir to an annual-rent on 13 June 1586. The date of his obtaining possession of the lands of Baldoran (see above) is unknown. This George may be the same person as the George Livingston who was a member of the household of Mary of Lorraine when she was Regent of Scotland. He and his brother James were included in the remission granted to their chief William, sixth Lord Livingston, on 12 March 1553-4, for absence from Pinkiecleuch.
