Robert Johnson, planter of the lower parish of Isle of Wight County, deeded land to his daughter Mary Johnson and her heirs; Mary being now the wife of James Johnson. Dated 4 Aug 1692. Acknowledged by Robert Johnson and Katherine his wife in open court 9 Aug 1692.
↑ Based on estimated birth year of Mary, only known child.
↑ The Robert Johnson who wrote his will in Sep 1732 named Mary and Sarah Johnson as his younger daughters. The wording suggests that they were unmarried. Clearly, the Mary Johnson who married by 1692 was not an unmarried daughter in 1732.
↑ A book suggested that this Robert and Katherine Johnson were the parents of John Johnson, grandson of Alice Tucker. However, if it is accepted that the unknown daughter of Arthur Allen and Alice Tucker who was the mother of John Johnson later married William Mayo, then her first husband (father of John Johnson) must have died before Oct 1675, when William Mayo was named as a son-in-law in the will of Alice Tucker's second husband, John Hardy.
