6 Mar 1727[/28]: Esther Houghton ["in the 15th year"] "Being Informed that ye Heirs at Law of my Grandfather Robert Houghton Late of Lancaster Deceased are cited to appear", and noting a guardian will be necessary for "ye Children of my father Robert Hougton eldist son of said Deceased", requests "my father-in-Law Deacon John Longley of Groton" be appointed my guardian. Deborah Longley addendum requests that "my Husband John Longley" also be appointed for Ebenezer aged 12 and Deborah age 10.
