Children of Robert Houghton and Esther Leppingwell: Ebenezer [#30], b. "2,3,1693" [-sic-see atttached comment], d. "10, 13, 1723", m. "3, 23, 1720" Mary Priest. [Note: the parents are correctly identified, as Robert's probate mentions Cyrus, son of the sixth son Ebenezer. However the birth date appears completely bogus. No such record is found, though another Ebenezer Houghton is born 25 Jun 1693 to different parents (Joseph and Jane) according to the "supposed reliable" additions to Lancaster VRs (p. 453). To be the sixth son Ebenezer must be younger than Joshua born 1695 according to these same "supposed reliable" entries. The 1693 is also inconsistent with the age at death on the gravestone.]
