Facts and Events
Uncle Riley was a kind generous man and he certainly did give me many fond memories. We used to walk to the Quaker Dairy Store on Meade Street just north of Wisconsin Ave and bring the milk bottles back to the store, get some milk and more often thannot we would get an ice cream cone. He taught me how to draw, I remember one time, oh I must have been about 7 or 8, he had me draw a house that we could see on Meade St. from Grandma Solies dining room window, I must have drawn that house 100 times, he said I must draw just what I see, to this dat' I can draw a building pretty good, Thanks Uncle Ri. He died all too soon and too suddenly, however enjoying his game of golf. |
