Son of Edmund de Wadyngton 1436 of Sowerby, Halifax. Had issue son Edward W., 1490 of Northowram. Descended from Richard de Wadyngton 1388 of Coley, Halifax. Translated from Latin. Richard Wadyngton took from the waste 3 roods between Dycon feld on East, Barohednabe on West, Hessikirke Clogle on North, Knyghtroide on South, in the Constableship of Hypon (Hipperholme) and renders 15s. 3d. per annum rent.---Wakefield Manor Rolls, A.D. 1512. 1526 Richard Waddyngton, Constable of Northowram, renders 1 acre formerly taken from the waste, with a building to the use of Edward Waddyngton.---1529. Edward Waddyngton (see 1490) has the reversion after the decease of said Richard and Joan his wife of 1 acre formerly taken from the waste to the use of Edward (see 1516) the son of Edward Waddington deceased. ---Wakefield Manor Rolls, 1526,1529. |
