Edmund de Wadyngton fined 4d. he does not come (i.e. for not attending Court) he is elected Constable of Sowerby. John Horsfall querent against Edmund Wadyngton of a plea of debt, for one cow 5s, and Edmund pays a fine 2d. again same Edmund does not come, he is elected Constable of Sourby 4d.---Wakefield Manor Rolls, A.D. 1436-69.
