Richard Alexander OSWALD of Moore Park was b. 30apr1782 at Govan (IGI). Richard (d. 3mar1821) married Elizabeth ANDERSON, daughter of John Anderson, London merchant, 24oct1810 (Burke's Landeed Gentry, 2001) at Putney, London (IGI). Richard Alexander Oswald died 1821 and his widow 1822 at Moore Park (Old country houses of the old Glasgow gentry, Gentleman’s magazine). Previous owners of parts of Moore Park were Alexander Stevenson and nephew Benjamin Barton, successively Commissary Clerks of Glasgow (Old Country houses). Scottish archives have wills of Richard Alexander Oswald, Glasgow merchant, reg. 1823 Hamilton, and Glasgow merchant of Muirpark, reg. 1839 Glasgow (scotlandspeople).
