Rex Green, born and raised near Zion, Iowa, died June 17, in Sacramento, Calif. At the age of 72 years. He was born Feb. 18, 1908 to Ed and Leota Green, and was married to Gladys Boden in June, 1927. She passed away in 1973. He remarried in 1977. Survivors include his wife, Margie, seven children; Mary June Wood, Leota Jo Whiffen and Gerry Lee Wood of Sacramento Calif.; Rex (Bud) Green of Des Moines, Iowa; Patty Bryant of Idaho; Larry green, and Pamela Sue Ernest of Mesa, Ariz; three stepchildren, Kiden Carmichel of the U. S. Army; John Carmichael of Arizona and Florence Medley of Sacramento; a sister, Pluma Shouse, Creston, Iowa; twenty-three grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in the Creston area. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Merle Kuhns, and two brothers, Claire and Max. Funeral services were held at the North Sacramento Funeral Home June 20 with interment in Sierra Hills Memorial Park.
