  4. ↑ Source:Genealogical notes of Barnstable families : being a reprint of the Amos Otis papers originally published in the Barnstable Patriot, p. 40, says that "Reliance, [born] Nov. 21, 1714 (this date is doubtful). She is recorded as the eldest child, date probably 1704." In Source:United States, Massachusetts, Barnstable, Harwich. Vital Records 1694-1850, Reliance is recorded out of order, before all other children, but the date says 1714. Further, in Source:Mayflower Descendant, p. 4:248, "Records of the First Parish of Brewster", the baptism of Samuel Hinckley's children is listed on 12 Jun 1711, and names "Seth, Sam'll & Shubael". One would think if Reliance was born in 1704, she would have been in that list. So it appears Otis may be wrong and the records are probably right.
