Rebecca came to Los Angeles in 1920 with Dora And Sam after Joel died. Joel had one brother Ovidiu, who had two daughters and two sons. Ovidiu drove a carriage. Joel also had two sisters.
Rebecca first came in 1906 to see her mother and father, then returned before she finally settled here. Shirley is the name used in certain generations to reflect the name of Sarah. The Greenberg family used the name "Bucharestianu", a popular name in Rumania because of the anti-semitism. However, Joe Wolf said it may originally have been Bucharestianu and may have been changed at Ellis Island to Greenberg. The Greenbergs came from the same area in Rumania as the Isensteins.
All of Rebecca's 10 children were born in Europe. Of her 10 children, the first to arrive in Los Angeles were Harry and Manny in about 1908 or 1909.
