Appears as Ray W. Van Wey in the 1920 census, when he is living with his wife, Elizabeth B., and his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Engel in Derry, PA. His birthplace is listed as OH in the census. There is an extensive Van Wey family based in OH and Raymond is a fairly common name in that lineage.

Latrobe Bulletin, Tuesday, April 27, 1937, p. 4: "Ray W. Van Wey: After an illness of 19 days, Ray William Van Wey, of West Second St., Derry, passed away at 9:18 last evening. Complications following an infection caused his death.

He was born at New Lexington, O., December 26, 1890, a son of William O. and Mary Dennison Van Wey. He came to Derry in October, 1909 and had since resided there. For a time he was employed as fireman by the P.R.R., then went with the Derry Works of the Westinghouse Company, and was employed as kiln fireman at the time of his illness.

Surviving are his widow, formerly Miss Elizabeth Barbara Engel, to whom he was married on October 29, 1913; one daughter, Emma Louise; one brother, Harry N. Van Wey, of Derry; and an aunt, Mrs. Mary Allen, of Crooksville, Ohio.

Mr. Vay Wey was a member of the I.O.O.F. and of the B. of L. F. and E. He was president of the Home Hall Association, when he passed away. The local Odd Fellows lodge will have full charge of the funeral arrangements, and will conduct its services at the Van Wey home on Wednesday evening at 8:30.

Funeral services, to which friends are invited, will be held at his late residence on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with the Rev. W. H. Landis in charge. Interment will follow in Derry cemetery. It is the desire of the family that flowers be omitted."

Coles Cemetery headstone inscription: "Ray W. Van Wey 1890-1937"

Last name is probably not Van Wine, as told by Robert Eugene Warren.
