[RESEARCH NOTES: At one time find-a-grave had record of Alva Ray being married. I wrote this question to the author and got a response from her and the next day got a message from another F-A-Grave author who gave further info: "I've been looking for info about Alva Ray Jackson who is listed as a husband for Emma Ruston McLaughlin. (Alva Ray is Memorial 74943496) Also listed as a husband is Alvin McLaughlin - Memorial 75883187. His obit says he and Emma married in 1911. Emma is buried with the last name of McLaughlin, so Alvin McLaughlin had to be her last husband. "My concern is that Alva Ray Jackson is listed as single, 23 yrs old, living with his parents in the 1910 Census. If he married Emma, it had to be a very short marriage - between 1910 census and when she married Alvin in 1911! Is there some verification of her marriage to Alva Ray Jackson? Are the gravemarkers close or anything to confirm Alva Ray Jackson's relationship to Emma Ruston McLaughlin?"
