Descendant of Nathaniel Blackmar, as follows: 1. Philip Jefferson Pipkin (1835-1907) m. 1875 Frances Knight (b. 1835). 2. Rufus Knight (1796-1864) m. 1821 Maria Gaddee (1803-40). 3. James Knight m. Olive Blackmar (b. 1780). 4. Theophilus Blackmar (1750-1842) m. Frances Battey (b. 1751). 5. Nathaniel Blackmar m. 1747 Mary Mitchel. Nathaniel Blackmar (1720-91) served as private in Captain Hitchcock's company, Colonel Angell's Rhode Island regiment. He was born in Gloucester, R. I.

Emanuel County Probate Court Record of Support 1856 - 1897 Pages 85-86 Georgia, Emanuel County I John Bell ordinary of said county, The undersigned appointed for the purpose of setting apart of appraisal of Andrew Knight & Saml Knight, Agnes Knight & Annie Knight minors of Augustus Knight, Desc. A sufficency either in money or property from the estate of Augustus Knight, desc. for the support and maintenance for the space of 12 months from the day of June 1885 & also a sufficient amount of household furniture support that is obedience to the warrent directed to us for that purpose we have set a part & assigned to the said Andrew Knight next a friend as aforesaid for the children (minors) aforesaid the sum of $175.00 Dollars less one hundred dollars and = cents. Rev. Pipkins helped form the Mount Moriah Baptist Church in 1867, located in Tennille,Washington,Georgia and then in 1877 he was again asked to help form a new church the Tennille Baptist Church.

We did appraise & set a part out of the Estate of Augustus Knight, Desc. One Hundred Dollars to be paid to her the said Ceala Knight for her 12 months support by P.J. Pipkins Administrator, Augustus Knight, less Twenty Five Dollars for one fourth the 12 months which the administrator claims that the estate has supported her which leaves balance due her by the Seventy Five Dollars witness our hands and seals this Oct. 18th 1883 (Signed by the following) E.L.
