Philip Marshall was baptised on 14th April 1611 at the parish church of St Stephen in St Albans. He was the son of Joan Marshall, formerly Sansom, and her husband Robert Marshall. Sadly, young Philip died when he was only three years old, being buried at St Stephen's Church on 16th September 1614.
