Published in the Stockbridge Brief-Sun on Thurs Feb 8, 1917 - Obituary - Peter McIntyre was born in Unadilla Twp in Livingston county on Aug 3, 1835 and died Feb 2, 1917 aged 81y5mo27days. He was a son of James & Mary McIntyre and was the 3rd of a family of 13 children. Mar 3, 1861 he was married to Mary McCloy and to this union were born two children. He first engaged in farming for himself on a farm in Lyndon Twp. In 1870, he sold out and pruchased the farm in Stockbridge where he lived until 8yrs ago when he moved to this village. For 18yrs he served the township as supervisor and 2yrs as township treasurer. He leaves his wife and two daughters, Mrs.Fred Roepcke of this village & Mrs C.E. DePuy of Pontiac, 2 gr-children & 4 sisters: Mrs.Ann McKenzie, Mrs.Minnie Sweet, Miss Nettie McIntyre of this village and Mrs Flora Bates of Lansing. The end came very suddenly and peacefully. Mr McIntyre was highly esteemed by a large circle of friends and will be greatly missed. The funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the home and conducted by Rev.G.Hill and interrment took place in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
