Peter and Glenna rented a house on Furnace Rd in Ontario, NY until they purchased the Lewis Hofner farm on Knickerbocker Rd. Peter farmed and worked as a foundry foreman of the Gleasons Works in Rochester, which was world reknown for producing gear cutting equipment, until his retirement. He was a charter & life member of the Ontario Rod & Gun Club, and member the Masonic Lodge, and of the Immanuel Congregational Church. In his later years he was plagued with congestive heart failure; however, he continued to cut and sell fire wood until his death. References
