Oswego Palladium-Times, 13 Nov 1959: $8,000 SETTLEMENT One was that of Peter Gamble of RD 2, Fulton, against Clarence C. Chesbro and John W. Platt... Gamble was injured when his automobile and a coal truck owned by the defendants collided on Baldwin RD, Volney, on Dec. 4, 1957. Plaintiff suffered serious injury to his right knee. Amount of settlement was reported as $8,000.

Oswego Valley News, 10 Aug 1977: MR. GAMBLE, 78, WW II VETERAN, DIES IN BUFFALO Peter Gamble, 78, of North Volney died Sunday morning at Mercy Hospital, Buffalo. Born in Pennsylvania, Mr. Gamble resided most of his life in the Volney area. He was an Army veteran of World War 1. Surviving are two sons, Sylvester of Fulton and Thomas of Bridgeport; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Upchurch of Cheektowaga and Mrs. Golda Romanisk of Williamsville; and ten grandchildren. Services were Tuesday at the Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay ST, Fulton and in Immaculate Conception Church. Burial was in North Volney Cemetery.
