_FREL: Natural _MREL: Natural Headline: A QUIET WEDDING1 SUBHEAD: Foreman of the Gwinnett Journal Marries Wednesday Evening. The marriage of Mr. Paul M. Christian, foreman of the Gwinnett Journal, and Miss Ida Craig, of Lawrenceville, was solemnized last Wednesday, at the home of the bride. Only a few relatives and friends were invited to the wedding. Rev.O.L. Kelly, pastor of the Methodist church, spoke the sacred and beautiful words that united these young people in the bonds of holy wedlock. The bride is the daughter of Mr.and Mrs.Robert Craig, of Lawrenceville. She is a splendid young woman of splendid attainments, and her charming personality, together with her beautiful Christian character, has made her a favorite with a large number of friends and acquaintances. Mr.ChrisLian has been with the Gwinnett Journal for five vears or longer. There is no better and more careful and efficient man in his line of business anywhere. He is a splendid character, and the Gwinnett Journal extends to him and his charming bride hearty hearty congratulations. They will be at home to their friends in a few days at the Veal house on Pike Street. --Handwritten notation by headline: "ca 1904" [Paul M. Christian would be the son of Elam Christian; the "M." is for his middle name -- Marion, based on notes from Elam's Bible.] 1A newspaper clipping sent to me in 1996 by Phillis G. Davis, a volunteer with the Gwinnett Historical Society. [Paul M. Christian Sr. was my grandfather. It's Marvin. ] References
