"'Otis Ensign is without doubt that Ensign who was killed in the Battle of Rampart Rocks sometimes called the Battle of Harvey's Landing, and today better known as the Battle of Tilly's Knob. This was one of the skirmishes between the Connecticut settlers in the Wyoming Valley, Pa. on one side and the Pennamites and the British on the other. To place it; on the steep rocks at what is now West Nauticoke, there were three Connecticut settlers killed according to Miner: Franklyn, Baker, and Ensign. Their families subsequently returned to Conn. and Otis Jr. went to Stillwater, NY to live with a Tory uncle Ezekial' --- Elizabeth Griswold Pratt."
