Married Esther Dickenson. Eliphalet and Esther joined the church in New Hartford. She spent the week previous to her death praying that a blessing might descend upon her and her posterity. Rev. Mr. Gale preached her funeral sermon; Psalms 23:4. Eliphalet was on New Hartford - Lexington Alarm List, 25 Apr 1775, for 3 days. He was with Capt. Uriah Seymour's Co. They marched 22 Oct 1775 and he was discharged 25 Dec 1775. While in Major Sheldon's Regt. Light Horse, he accompanied Washington in his retreat through New Jersey, Dec 1776. He became a pensioner Litchfield Co. in 1832. He removed to a place on Susquehanna River near Tioga Point, Pa., 1797 and returned to New Hartford, 1803.
