translation: Legend tells that the plague came to Hem one day, and three of the household became sick and died one after the other. They were Ormar Borgarsson, Ingeborg (wife of Aulvir) and the mother, the old Aslaug. ... The young widow of Ormar was then with child. She did not get the plague, but the strain was so great that she bore her child prematurely and had a son whom she called Solve, a name suggesting salvation.
The part of the legend about his son Solve might have arisen due to the assumption that the Solve Ormarsson who married Margareta Bjørnsdatter was his son. Therefore, it is not clear whether or not this Ormar had a son named Solve.
