19 Oct 1871 - HOLLOWELL.--At the residence of his father, in Cambridge City, Indiana, Saturday, October 14th, 1871, Orlando M. Hollowell; in his 23d year, of heart disease.
For several years Orlando had been suffering, and was almost altogether confined to the house for a year past. He was a member of the Christian Church, and during his long and dangerous illness manifested strong and abiding faith in his future. Just previous to his death he was cheerful and said he knew "that God had not forsaken him." The funeral services were held at the Christian Church, Sunday at 3 o'clock, by Elder Thompson, and although the weather was unpleasant the remains were followed to Riverside Cemetery by a goodly number of sorrowing friends. Orlando was a more than promising young man, and will be affectionately rembered by all who knew him. A comforting hope is left the bereaved family.
