1869: Birth
- OD Hall was born on a farm in Redkey, Indiana on 12 Aug 1869 to Thomas and Emily (Sutton) Hall. He was the youngest son.
1890: Orange Hall marries Alice Marquell
- On 23 Dec 1890, OD married Alice "Allie" Marquell and together they settled into his father's farm to start a family. His parents moved off of the farm and into the town of Dublin, Indiana which was near to where their daughter lived. OD and Alice had two children while living on the farm: Harry in 1891 and Inez in 1893.
1901: OD Hall sells the family farm in Redkey
- In 1901, OD sold the farm in Redkey and moved his wife and children to the Joseph Cox farm south of the bustling town of Cambridge City.9 The location was closer to his parents and sister in Dublin. While on this farm, OD operated a gravel pit.
1904: OD Hall and John W Hall open the Hall Mercantile Company
- OD remained in the gravel business on the outskirts of town for a few years until the death of his father in 1903. At the time, his older brother John had found success in the retail business and he convinced OD to join him in opening a clothing and dry goods establishment in Cambridge City. OD sold the gravel pit farm and moved his family into Dublin, nearer to his widowed mother. Together the brothers opened the Hall Mercantile Company on [date] with John as President and OD as Vice-president. By all accounts the business was successful.
1905: The untimely death of brother John W Hall
- The Hall Mercantile Company was short-lived. In April of 1905, John W Hall died following a sudden case of appendicitis. He left behind a widow, a young son, and four small daughters. His wife sold her interests in the business and moved with her children back to her hometown in Tennessee. OD remained in Dublin.

1916: OD Hall marries Daisy (Marquell) Bottorff
- Daisy was the half-sister of OD's first wife (same father, different mothers). She was divorced and had a young daughter, Hildred.
1952: Death
- O.D. Hall, well-known Dublin realtor for 40 years and former Cambridge City merchant, died July 2 after an illness of several months at the age of 82. Hall first was associated with his brother, John, in the mercantile business in Cambridge City and later established his own real estate and insurance office. He was a member of the Dublin Friends Church and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and was on the town board for many years. Survivors include the widow, Daisy; a son, Harry, of New York City; two daughters, Mrs. Everett Money and Mrs. Errett Walters, both of Dublin; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. p 11 - ...And this week we record the death of another popular old-timer in eastern Indiana, Orange D. Hall, for the past years an insurance and real estate man at Dublin. We recall his name on the Traveler list almost 45 years ago, and our business contacts with O.D., as he was popularly known, were always pleasing to each of us. Good men don't always die young."

[Descendants of John W. Hall are in possession of Emily's Bible which lists the birth date of OD Hall as 12 Aug 1869. This is the only record of the date that I know. It would be nice to add a scan of the Bible page.-User:cos1776, 25 Aug 2012]
