Daisy (Marquell/Bottorff) Hall of Dublin, Indiana

Daisy Marquell was born 4 Jun 1885 in Delaware County, Indiana, the daughter of William Marquell and Sarah A. McCamish, William's second wife. The Marquell family was a large blended family from several marriages between Daisy's father and his first and second wives and their previous husbands, so there were a lot of brothers, sisters and step-brothers and step-sisters.

At 16 years of age, Daisy married Albert Bottorff on 22 Oct 1901 in Madison County, Indiana and to this union one daughter was born, Hildred in 1904. In 1910, Daisy lived in Gas City Ward 1, Grant, Indiana together with Albert, Hildred and Bert Wingate (Albert M Wingate), Daisy's stepbrother. It is not known what became of Albert Bottorff.

In 1911, one of Daisy's half-sisters, Alice Marquell, passed away after a long illness. Alice had been married to Orange Daniel "OD" Hall and together they had raised two children in Jay county, Indiana. In June of 1916, Daisy married OD Hall in Cass County, Indiana and together with her daughter, Hildred, they made their home with OD Hall in Dublin, Indiana.

In Dublin, Daisy lived an active life within the social and church circles of the town. OD ran a successful real estate business. In 1952 OD passed away. Daisy continued to live in Dublin for the next 27 years, until she passed away in September of 1979.
