Some sources have his name as Nicholas Hugh Mosher with John Mosher as his father and that John born 1584 London. However, a middle name was not used by the "common folk" until 1700's

He was in Falmouth, Barnstable, Mass in 1640 and in Newport by 1660. He helped purchase land for Misquamsitt and died before 1666 leaving children James and John and others not mention in histories.
