    -Oct. 24, 1677 Hugh Moisser chosen a Jurryman by the Towne of Portsmouth, and he haveinge not attended that service is fined 20 shillings. [RI General Court of Trials 1671-1704, by Jane Fletcher Fiske, 1998, p. 58]

  4.   In records dated June of 1660, Hugh purchased land at Westerly, Rhode Island and in 1669 and 1680 he purchased additional land at Tiverton and Dartmouth, Rhode Island. Hugh was a minister and a blacksmith.
