  1. ↑ Nell had lost almost all of her vision by time she died and was legally blind. She communicated quite a bit via letters and phone calls to my mother since both were Genealogists. I still have many of those letters.
  2. ↑ Nell wrote for several different newspapers. I believe I am correct in saying she wrote for the Birmingham Age Herald, The Atlanta Journal, and the Chicago Times.
    She also wrote a lot of poetry - many of which I have today.
