    Neeltje Coerte van Voorhees; born 30 Jun 1676. (Her tombstone record states that she was born 1 Oct 1675); baptized 23 Sep 1676 at Ref. Ch., New York City, NY, sp. Roelof Martenszen and Annettie Pieters; married Garret Roelofse Schenck, son of Roelof Martense Schenck and Neeltje Gerretse van Covenhoven, circa 1693; died 4 Aug 1750 at Monmouth Co., NJ, at age 74; buried at Schenck Couwenhoven Cem., Pleasant Valley, Monmouth Co., NJ. She and her husband were first cousins. They moved to Pleasant Valley, NJ, about 1696.

    Two views of their home on the west side of the Matawan Halmdel road are found in Beekman's [Early Dutch Settlers of Monmouth Co., NJ, 1901, Pg. 11.]

    On 18 March 1697 Gerret Schenck and wife Neltie of Flatlands deeded to Stephen Coert, of same, land there, formerly in the possession of Coert Stevens and Abraham Jooris.
