Folger genealogical records in the possession of the Nantucket Historical Association (This compilation has been used because of the valuable clues it affords, but its statements should be received with caution, as it is not free from errors. It should also be understood that in many instances the events recorded did not take place in Nantucket, and in a few cases attention has been called to the question of residence. Many records of families of Nantucket origin, living in New York, North Carolina, Ohio, and elsewhere, do not properly belong in these printed volumes and therefore have been omitted.)] [Note: PR63=Manuscript kept by Hon. - ↑ Find A Grave gives the death date of 3 May 1718, but the death record says the 4th month, i.e., June. The memorial page has no gravestone image, and apparently cites Source:Hoyt, David W. Old Families of Salisbury and Amesbury, Massachusetts, p. 50, which gives this date, in turn citing Savage, 1:120. This source claims he died "d. 29 Apr. or 3 May 1718" but the basis for this assertion is unknown.
