and Elinor, 18 June 1679; beside Benjamin, Ebenezer, Timothy, and Abigail,
all, or most bef. the preced. But high Nantucket authority claims that
the f. of those seven ch. came in 1650, with his uncle, Robert Barnard,
from Eng. whose d. he m. and there d. 29 Apr. or 3 May 1718, as also that his w.
d. 17 Mar. preced. Of the right Nathaniel, I suppose, Thomas of Salisbury
was the f. and he (whether h. of the d. of Lugg or not) is call. progenit.
of all the inhabs. of the isl. of this name. RICHARD, Springfield,
m. 1671, Sarah Clark, d. 19 Nov. 1683, had six ch. of wh. Benoni, wh. d.
1673, perhaps Daniel, wh. d. 1689, and Joseph alone, bef. ment. is kn. to me.
Sometimes he is call. Barnet. RICHARD, Boston, br. of Matthew, m. 2
Mar. 1659, Elizabeth d. of Benjamin Negus, was of ar. co. 1662, and a. Dec.
1706. ROBERT, Salisbury, had only s. John, b. 2 Mar. 1612, and a.
1663 rem. to Nantucket, there had Martha, wh. m. William Rogers;
Sarah, wh. m. James Skiff of N.; and Mary, wh m. her cous. Nathaniel
B. and he d. 1682; and his wid. Joanna d. 31 Mar. 1705. ROBERT,
Andover, one of the found. of the ch. 1645, had Stephen,
John, and Hannah, wh. m. 13 June 1662, John Stevens. Of this
stock was Jeremiah, H. C. 1773, min. of Amherst, N. H. SAMUEL,
Watertown, s. of John the first, and brot. by him from Eng. took o. of
alleg. 1652, but prob. d. unm. SAMUEL, Boston 1671. SAMUEL, Hadley,
s. of Francis, d. 1728, leav. Samuel, and two ds. SAMUEL, Watertown,
s. of John the sec. of the same, housewright, m. 4 Apr. 1700, Mercy,
youngest d. of Rev. John Sherman, had Esther, b. (if Bond's rec. be right)
9 Sept. 1700 ; Elizabeth bapt. 18 Jan. 1702; Grace, b. 14, bapt. by name of
Mercy 20 Aug. 1704; and Samuel, bapt. 14 Apr. 1706, as Bond tells;
but he adds, that he soon after rem. prob. to Cambridge ; and there he
may have had more ch. STEPHEN, Andover, S. of Robert, m. 1 May
1671, Rebecca How, but of him I hear no more. STEPHEN, Nantucket, s.
of Nathaniel, m. Damaris, d. of Joseph Gardner. THOMAS, Salisbury, by
w. Helen had Thomas, b. 10 May 1641; Nathaniel, 15 Jan. 1643; Martha,
and Mary, tw. 22 Sept. 1645; Sarah, 28 Sept. 1647; Hannah, 24
Nov. 1649; Ruth, 16 Oct. 1651; John, 12 Jan. 1655; and a d. 20 Jan.
1657; and he was k. by the Ind. His wid. had admin. Sarah m. 31 Jan.
1667, William Hacket; and Hannah m. 28 Oct. 1673, Benjamin Stevens.
THOMAS, Salisbury, eldest s. of the preced. by w. Sarah, d. of Joseph
Peasley had Thomas, b. 22 Jan. foll.; took o. of alleg. Dec. 1677. THOMAS,
Boston 1678, a carpenter, was, prob. s. of Matthew, but no more is found of
him. THOMAS, Andover, s. of Francis, ord. as collea. with Dane 1682, d. 13
Oct. 1718, in 61st yr. He had m. 14 Dec. 1686, Elizabeth d. of Theodore Price, wh.
d. 10 Oct. 1693; and next m. 28 Apr. 1696 Abigail Bull, wh. d. 1702 ; and next
m. 1704 Lydia Goff. Of his ch. the dates are not all giv. nor is any d.
nam. the s. were Thomas, b. 1688, wh. d. without issue, bef. his f.
John, 26 Feb. 1690, H. C. 1709, wh. succeed. his f. in the pulpit at A.
ord. 8 Apr. 1719, and d. 14 June 1738, leav. Thomas, H. C. 1732, min.
at Newbury and Salem, and Edward, H. C. 1736, min. of Haverhill.
