  3. On p. 140, Source:Thayer, Bezaleel. Memorial of the Thayer Name, from the Massachusetts Colony of Weymouth and Braintree, Embracing Genealogical and Biographical says Moses was born 1698 making him the second son, on p. 141, he died 1727 age 25, which based on adjusted estimates seems more reasonable, making him the fifth son. See his parents' Family page for a long discussion of the unreliability of Thayer's information. Unlike the other siblings, nothing in the father's probate offers any clue to his ordering. He was the second son married which probably influenced Thayer's ordering, but the date of the marriage only requires he be born by 1702 and, as mentioned, the probate file suggests Thayer was wrong.
