- ↑ Source:Thayer, Bezaleel. Memorial of the Thayer Name, from the Massachusetts Colony of Weymouth and Braintree, Embracing Genealogical and Biographical, p. 140,does not even list a son Eleazer even though he is named executor in his father's will. See the discussion on the unreliability of this source on his parents' Family page. All we really know is that Eleazer and Jeremiah are the two youngest sons, with Jeremiah as the youngest. His father's will is dated 1728 and one would not expect him to name an executor who is underage, but on the other hand, it is hard to imagine that Elieazer was born by 1707 to make him old enough. Not least because Jeremiah is born 1716 and the gap inbetwen is so sparsely populated while there is not really enough room before 1707 to have all the sons except Jeremiah born. The only document with Eleazer's name on it is 1739 where he swears that the inventory is correct as "surviving executor" which does not provide any clue.
