Memorial of the Thayer Name, from the Massachusetts Colony of Weymouth and Braintree, Embracing Genealogical and Biographical, p. 140, 153, places his birth about 1706 but there is no apparent basis for it. See the discussion on the unreliability of this source on his parents' Family page. He appears older than than Eleazer and Jeremiah but younger than all the other sons. There is a wide range of dates his birth could have occurred.
