STAVES LAFAYETTE -- Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2003, at First Lutheran Church for Mirandia E. Staves, 82, the former Mirandia Busek, who died at 2:36 p.m. Friday June 20, 2003, in Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Survivors include one daughter, Roberta Silvetti, of Lafayette one son, Robert Staves and his wife, Leslie Guillory Staves, of Lafayette seven grandchildren, Marianne Silvetti Voorhies, Christopher Staves, Christinia Silvetti, J. David Silvetti, Rondi Staves, Dawson Staves and Dakota Staves and one brother, Frank Busek of Bradenton, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Royce Staves, whom she married on June 23, 1940 and her parents, John Adam and Eva Elizabeth Durgee Busek. A native of Pulaski, New York, and a resident of Lafayette for 11 years, Mrs. Staves was the previous owner/operator of the Downtown Offset Letter Shop of Rome, N.Y. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Lafayette and was an altar guild member. References
