PRETTY HOME WEDDING SAT.

MISS MINNIE PELLEYMOUNTER, AT HOME OF HER MOTHER BECOMES BRIDE OF JOHN E. KYLEN

A very pretty wedding was solemnized Saturday forenoon, when Miss Minnie Pelleymounter became the bride of John E. Kylen. The ceremony took place at the home of the bride’s mother, Mrs. Mary Pelleymounter, at eleven o’clock, the house being prettily decorated for the occasion, a pink and white color scheme being used. The wedding ceremony began with a solo “Oh, Promise Me,” sung by Paul Pelleymounter, brother of the bride, accompanied by Miss Ethel McFadden at the piano. Then, to the strains of Mendelsohn’s Wedding March, played by Miss McFadden, the bridal couple and their attendants took their places under a prettily decorated arch built for the occasion, where they received the vows which made them man and wife, Rev. Arthur B. Hubbard, of Hampton, former pastor here and friend of the couple, speaking the words which forever united the hearts and hands of this worthy young couple, the ring ceremony being used. The couple was attended by Miss Laura Pelleymounter, sister of the bride, and Mr. Oscar Johnson, cousin of the groom.

The bride was attired in a gown of white satin faced Canton crepe, with veil and bridal wreath, and carried a beautiful bouquet of pink and white snap dragons, corresponding to the decorative color scheme used. Her attendant wore a gown of peach colored silk Canton crepe and carried a similar bouquet.

Immediately after the congratulations following the ceremony, the bridal party and guests retired to the dining room where a fine three-course wedding dinner awaited them, the Misses Milda Behrmann, Doris Hutton and Edna Nyman being the waitresses.

The bride, who is the third daughter of Mrs. Mary Pelleymounter of this city, is too well and favorably known in Bancroft to need an introduction by The Register, having lived in our fair city most of her life. She is a graduate of the local high school and after her graduation her she took up teaching as a vocation, teaching for a time in the rural schools near Bancroft, and for the past three years has been one of our best teachers in the Bancroft Public School. She has not confined her labors to teaching alone, but has been active in various church activities, and was also the president of the American Legion Auxiliary here from which she resigned previous to her marriage. She is a talented young lady, well capable of presiding with grace and dignity over her new home and well worthy of the man of her choice.

The groom is no stranger to our readers either, having for some years at a time past made his home in and around Bancroft, having been at one time in the contracting business in our city, later working for a time in Minneapolis, and now located in Chicago where he is a carpenter by trade and where the couple will make their future home. He is a man of excellent qualities and worthy of his bride.

The newlyweds left on their honeymoon trip early Saturday evening, going first to Minneapolis and St. Paul, where they spent a few days visiting friends, and then from there to the Black Hills on a sight seeing trip. They will return from the Hills in time to take in the graduation exercises of the bride’s sister, Miss Dora Pelleymounter, who graduates from the Nurses Training at Chamberlain, S. Dak., on Sept. 2nd. They will later return to Bancroft before going on to Chicago where they will be at home to their friends after Sept. 10th at 3031 N. 75th Ave., Belmond Heights, Chicago, IL.

Besides the immediate relatives of the bride, the out-of-town guests included Rev. and Mrs. Arthur B. Hubbard, of Hampton; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Pearson and family, of Burt; Miss Ethel McFadden, of Algona, and Miss Edna Nyman, of Swea City.

The Register extends the heartiest of congratulations to the newlyweds, and the best wishes of the entire community follows the couple on their journey though life together.
