Minnie was 23 when she married Henry Yesler, the rich Seattle Pioneer. He died two years later, and scandal followed when there was no will. After years of litigation with Henry's nephew and others--Henry was rumored to have left $100,000 to the City--Minnie disappeared from Seattle. She appears in San Francisco in 1900 with her mother Emma and siblings, and Los Angeles by 1910.
