Mildred (Lauchnor) Gildner, 76 years, formerly of Schnecksville, died Thursday, December 14, 2006 in Cedarbrook, South Whitehall Township, where she had been residing for the last nine years. She was the wife of Charles E. Gildner. The couple celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary last February 12. Born in North Whitehall Township on February 11, 1930, Mildred was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Muhr) Lauchnor. She was employed as a sewing machine operator for Tama Mfg., Northampton, for 40 years before retiring in 1992. Mildred was a member of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville. She was a volunteer for the former Ladies Auxiliary of Neffs Volunteer Fire Company.
Survivors: Husband; son, Ronald B. Gildner and his wife, Kathleen, of Slatington; daughter, Bridgette M. Kulp and her husband, Gregory, of Schnecksville; brother, Edwin Lauchnor of Slatington; sister, Mary Bundy of Bath; grandsons, Andrew R. Gildner, Alex C.C. Gildner, Aaron J. Gildner, Adam M. Miller and William J. Kulp.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 18, 2006 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Dennis W. Moore officiating. Call 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.
Interment will follow the service in Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
