M. Cridles Will

In the name of God Amen. I Mildred Cradle of Campbell County being low and weak but of sound mind and Memory and knowing it alloted for all men once to dye, I do hereby make and ordain this my last Will and Testament ~ revoking and disannulling all others heretofore made by me.

Item I give my body to the earth and my soul to God who gave it my desire is that after my Decease my body may be decently buried at the discretion of my Administrators hereafter mentioned, and as to my worldly Goods ~ shich it has pleased God to bless me with. I do hereby dispose of in manner and form following.

Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Timberlake all the Lane left by by beloved husband Humphrey Cradle to she and her Heirs forever.

Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Key one Negro boy George and what Personal Goods she has already received and no more to she and her Heirs forever.

__dly further Will and desire is that all the Estate [Slaves] I am now possest of (Viz) Ned, Sukey, Robert, China, TMillay with all their increase at my death and Also six head of Cattle, two sows and Nine shoats (the stock and four Pounds Cash or the value in property to be produced, by Charles Timberlake) one bed and furniture, be equally divided among my beloved daughters (viz) Mildred Kitchen, Martha Stearman, Nancy Jones, Franky Bailey and Kesiah Huston to them and their Heirs forever.

And I do hereby appoint and Ordain Harod Rease, William Seaman and Charles Timberlake, Executors to this my last Will and Testament as above mentioned.

Signed with my hand and Seal this twenty second day of October one thousand seven Hundred and Ninty four.

At a Court held for Campbell County December 4th 1794

The within Last Will and Testament of Mildred Cridle Deceased was proved by the Oaths of George Juda, Herod Reese and William Fariss three of the Witnesses thereto subscribed and Ordered to be Recorded ~

And on the Motion of William Sturman one of the Executors in the said Will named who made Oath thereto According to Law, Certificate is granted him for obtaining probate thereof in due form giving security. Whereupon he together with William Hammarsley, Charles Timberland and Thomas Hancks his Securities entered into and acknowledged their Bond in the Penalty of two thousand Dollars conditioned According to Law for the said Executors due and faithfull Administration of the said Decedents Estate and Performance of her Will. The other Executors in the said Will named ~ having in open Court refused to join in the Probate thereof.
