Tax records of Greene Co., Penna. (Morgan Twp.) record that Michael was there in 1800 and single. Michael's & Susannah's marriage is recorded in Greene Co., Pa. The estate settlement for John Nyswaner lists, among other children, Susannah, inter married with Michael Crumrine. The will was probated March 1822. Michael is listed in Greene Co., Penna., Jefferson Twp in 1806, 1807 and 1808. In 1808 he had an estate of 70 acres plus house.
The Greenville Advocate (Darke Co. Ohio, newspaper) March 23,1972, has an article titled "149 year-old papers discovered by local man". While demolishing an old house, Michael Maher found an old newspaper under the kitchen floor. It was found in a metal can containing many articles. Reference is made to Micol Crumrine, acting as treasurer of Darke Co. in the pre-Civil War days, made out a "State and Road Tax" statement to Jacob Keller for $2.27.
Michael purchased land in Darke Co., 0. 12 Aug. 1821, (northwest quarter of section 18 in ... Twp. of range 2 for $121.00). Susannah is listed as the widow of Michael when the land was sold 2 March 1846. Michael's will was written 3 Dec. 1824 and probated 8 Aug. 1825 in Darke Co., 0. The 1820 census lists the family in Greenville Twp. and in the 1830 census in Neave Twp. Susannah lived with Soloman Aukerman in the 1850 Census (Dau. Elizabeth and husband) in Wabash Co., Ind. In the 1860 census, she was listed with her daughter, Lydia and husband, John Singer. Susannah's will was probated in both Wabash Co., Ind. and Darke Co., Ohio.
