According to "Forigen-Born Voters of California in 1872" Meyer (Listed as Myer A. on entry) first registered to vote in 1867 and his voter registration # was 35068. It also states his Nativity as Prussia and has a note that "This voter became a citizen by virtue of his fathers naturalization while he was under the age of 21.

 S.F. Odd Fellows originaly buried in the Columbarium which is now run by the Neptune Society but IS still standing.  Odd Fellows "buried" there were moved to Greenlawn Cemetery in Colma - 1100 El Camino Real, Colma, California 94014 - (650) 755-7622.  However, Odd Fellows Cremations where left at the Columbarium.  Meyer was a member of the B'nai B'rith, Miriam Lodge No. 56 In Marysville, Yuba Co. Ca. From 24 July 1864 to an unknown date.  He held many possitions in the order including Vice President 2 July 1865 and President after that term.  The Judah L. Magnes Museum, 2911 Russell Street, Berkeley, California 94705 has film of the minutes from this order from 1864 to 1869.  F 700c: Mar, 13B56 .
