Born in Belfast, the former Maxine Hotchkiss was a teacher at Red House near Salamanca. Later she operated a beauty shop. Mrs. Latham was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Silver Springs. She was the widow of Howard Latham, who died in 1977, and Ralph Spencer, who died in 1997. [ALSO ROBERT DURGEE] Survivors include a son, Ronald D. Latham of Selma, N.C.; three sisters, Pauline Bliss of Freedom, Violet York of Rochester and Velma Wallace Bliss; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church of Silver Springs [WYOMING COUNTY] . Burial will be in the Alger Cemetery, Hume. References
