Lucinda Owen's mother was Sarah (b.1800 KY) living together as reported in the 1850 Indiana census. Because her last child, Hattie, was born in Iowa (1870 Census), it is predicted that Matilda (called Lucinda in other records) died in Iowa after 1865, but needs documentation. NOtice that in 1850 Indiana census, living with James M. Owen and Lucinda (Matilda) Sears was Sarah Sears, age 50 born in KY. She would have very likely been Lucinda's mother and I am interpreting it that way for now. Notice also that Lucinda named her 5th child Sarah

1880 census for Jackson Twp, Warren Co., IA shows Lucinda Owen, age 59 living with her daughter Mary A. and son-in-law Peter Lebo.
