According to the Webster Genealogy, Mary Ann was born in Harmony, Chautauqua Co., NY. [I find this hard to believe & think this is an error and that she and her sister were born in Oneida Co., where the family lived before moving to Michigan]. She and Hibbard Gale had no children. She died in Monroe Co.MI in 1859 at age 29.
1850 Census for Monroe, MI in Monroe County shows Mary A. Webster 20, servant for the Frisber family. Hibbard Gale 29, is with his family in Monroe Township.

The Monroe Commercial in Monroe, MI.
Published on Feb 24, 1859 p.3: DIED - At the residence of Mrs Samuel H. Gale, on Tues Feb 15th, of consumption, MARY A, wife of Hibbard S, of Paririe Du Chien, Wis. Aged 28yrs. Mrs. Gale's kind and amiable disposition, won for her, many warm & devoted friends in her western home, who did all in their power to cheer & relieve her in her sufferings; but when it was said "she must die", she wished to return to her old home and spend her last days with those she had so fondly loved in by-gone days. Accordly(sic) her husband started with her, not knowing but that she would die in his arms ere they reached the end of therir long & tiresome journey; but she lived - and after lingering 3mos upon a bed of languishing & suffering, which she bore with Christian cheerfulness and submission, over looking forward to the time of her dissolution with feelings of joy, ever longing to depart and be with Christ, which she felt would be better & when the last struggles of dissolving nature were taking place she would anxiously exclaim - :"why does He tarry so long - come, sweet Jesus, come quickly." And as those eyes which had beamed with such ecstatic joy were closing from all earthly scenes, she ssaid to her weeping friend at her bedside, "How strange you look! You seem at such a distance". While those wirds still lingered upon her lips, her happy spirit 'sped away' & took 'its mansion near the throne'.
