The Identity of Mary (-----) (Fayerweather) (Evered alias Webb) Goodhue [NEHGR 144:5, Footnote]

"Earlier studies of her third husband, William Goodhue of Ipswich, whose second wife she was, have suggested that she was Mary Osborn(e) (Clarence Almon Torrey, "New England Marriages Prior to 1700," MS at the Society; Abraham Hammatt, Ipswich Antiquarian Papers, 1879-1885 [1880], unpaged). It was, however, William3 Goodhue (William2-1) who married Mary Osburne (Probate Records of Essex County, Massachusetts, 1635-1681, 3 vols. [Salem, 1920], 3:358-59. A possible clue to Mary Fayerweather's maiden name is suggested by the fact that the only unattached woman named Mary included in the 1630 church membership list was Mary Morton, whose name appears on the same page as that of Thomas Fayerweather."
