    from Nokomis Times- Dec. 4 1957- MRS. MARY ANN HORN- Govan and district residents were saddened to learn of the sudden passage of another of it's pioneers, Mrs. Mary Ann Horn, early Wed. morning in her 84th year, following a very short illness. Born Mary Ann Swanick near Uxbridge Ont. Jan. 6th 1874, she married Thomas E. Horn of Greenbank, Ont. in May 1900. They came to Govan district to homestead in 1905, where she resided until the time of her death. Mrs. Horn was predeceased by her husband in Nov. 1921. She leaves to mourn her loss two sons, Gordon at home and Herman at Cymric, four brothers, Fred of Pelly, Angus- Govan, Albert and Herman Cymic, also one grandchild.
