Future Research

Where was Mary Ann Margrave (nee Redding) for the 1841 census?

There is a child of 16 months named Sarah Margrave living with her Redding grandparents. She would have been born February 1840. In 1851 Sarah B Redding, aged 11, is living with Joseph and Elizabeth Redding and is stated to be their daughter (which is unlikely, given their ages). What is her true relationship to the rest of the family?
