There is a possibility that Mary Ann's maiden name is Morgan, but this has not been proved. I note that ancestry.com charts have her name as Mary Ann Morgan but with no sources. In the following 1850 census a Margaret Morgan age 80 is living with Booker J. Jackson and his wife Mary Ann. Margaret may be Mary's mother, but since it is possible that the widow Margaret Morgan may have had more than one marriage, it is good conjecture, but not sufficient to prove Mary's maiden name was Morgan.
