In April 1662, Sarah Meador, widow of Thomas Meador the Young, declared her obligation to her three children. She promised them four years of schooling each (the norm was one year). To her daughter Mary she gave a black heifer called "Slippery". At that time, Mary less than 9 years.
Mary Meador, son of Thomas Meador (2) and Sarah, was born about 1660-61, VA. Mary Meador Gouldman, died 1717, Essex Co., VA. She mentioned no living children in her will, although she did leave a bequest to Dorothy Billups, daughter of Richard Awbrey.
